Figures from the Morrelli & Melvin general arrangement (PB72_001, Rev A, August 2022) and the Persico Marine build specification. Displacements are approximate as-built figures from Ferdinand van West (2026); righting moments are design estimates; performance figures are VPP predictions, calculated at the 20,280 kg design racing displacement.

Sail plan

The right sail
for every wind

A 224 m² square-top mainsail works with a range of headsails, from the 219 m² J0 and 196 m² J1 down to the 115 m² J3. Off the wind, the A1 gennaker sets 365 m² and the masthead MHO 358 m², with a 304 m² FRO for reaching.

Her fastest combinations are not the biggest. Downwind she is quickest under the MHO and full main; upwind, under the J3 and full main. In marginal upwind conditions, around 13 to 14 knots of wind, the larger J1 may be used, and she would sail partly foiling.

The mainsail reefs in three steps to 76.8 m², so the same rig carries the boat from light-air racing to an offshore gale.
